New site using calendar

Hi Chris, Thought you might like to take a look at a new site I've launched using your calendar. It's early days but bookings appear to have improved imeasurably. http://www.ifieldcourt.com Click bookings to view the calendar. I do have one problem I am trying to resolve - I use the calendar to enab...

Disabling Expired Dates

Hi Chris, Thanks for all your help so far, I'm really fine tuning this now and have a new question for you. How do I make old dates unavailable for selection? Ie, today is the 10th Feb so i'd like everything before this date to automaitcally show as booked out (and therefore be unselectable). How wo...

Re: Disabling update but keeping date selection

Yep, that was it. I replaced my version with your original version and it works. My bad

Cheers,
Dave

PS, I have a new question to ask but it's off topic to I'll start a new thread for it.

Re: Disabling update but keeping date selection

Hi Chris, I thought I had this thing nailed but I have just come back to put it live for oe ogf the hotels and the avaialability won't update in the admin page. Any ideas? I've removed 'document.getElementById('roomtype').value=id_item;' from the JS code and that previously appeared to solve things,...

Re: Disabling update but keeping date selection

That got it! Brilliant. I'm happy enough with how it's working to put it live. There are a few flaws, for example, guests can book for more than one day on the booking form but there is no check against availability other than on the first day they select. Being near Gatwick Airport 99% of people ar...

Re: Disabling update but keeping date selection

It was doing one thing in IE, another in Firefox. No suprise there. They're both the same now - you can log in and all the dates are clickable but you cannot update. I've used Print_r ($_SESSION); on the calendar page to show the $_SESSION variable and it's showing Array ( [admin_id] => user ) The c...

Re: Disabling update but keeping date selection

Yeah, i'll sort all that by the time I get the site finished. One final question before I leave you in peace... I've started a PHP Session on a password protected page and included calendar.php. It half works as the unavailable dates become clickable again, however nothing changes when you click a d...

Re: Disabling update but keeping date selection

Ok, got it. I just needed to change the array to this: $months=array("01" => "January", "02" => "February", "03" => "March", "04" => "April", "05" => "May", "06" => "June", "0...

Re: Disabling update but keeping date selection

Yep, spotted that one :-) The bit that's not working now is this: .$months[$date_bits[1]]. Doesn't show anything. Any ideas? This approach is perfect for what I need at this stage. I intend to expand on the functionality of the system as I learn more about what I am doing but once this is working I ...

Re: Disabling update but keeping date selection

Hi Chris, Thanks for the quick responce - this is exactly what I mean. I was able to get the session code in with no problems and this works a treat. However I'm stuggling to work out the javascript function. Previously I have been using the 'the_date' variable to pass the date through to a booking ...
