Can i update my version?

Hallo everyone. Hi Chris.

Is there any way to upgrade from version 3.0.7, perhaps any secure way without loosing the settings.

I know that overwriting all files will update the version usually. For sure i will backup my files and the css-modified file. That easy or do i have to watch for something important?

The database has not been changed so uploading the new files *should* be enough to upgrade the version. As you say, make sure that you make a backup of your files, especially the config file and the css files if you have made any changes. Ideally I would recommend making a back-up of the database. However, as long as you don't run the install script, nothing in the database will be altered.

One thing to note is that, if you upgrade the code this way, as you are not modifying the database, the version number will still appear to be the same as the initial version that you installed. This does not affect the code in anyway but is worth bearing in mind if you run into problems and require support.
