Start calendar from specific month onward

Postby themadcatlady » Tue Aug 03, 2010 11:35 am

Hi Chris, I absolutely love this calendar for yours, well done, and thanks for providing it for free to the masses. ;)

I have 2 questions actually.

1. I would like to start the calendar from January next year, not showing the months up to then. How do I achieve this?

2. I would like to not show the "Available" in the Key box on the right. Is it possible to get rid of this?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Oh, and the page where I am implementing the calendar is here:

Hi and thanks for the comments.

For changing the start take please take a look at this thread..

To remove the "available" state from the key, open ac-includes > cal.inc.php and remove this line which is towards the end of the file :
Code: Select all
<li><span>'.$lang["available"].'</span></li>

I had a look at the other thread you pointed me to, but I don´t know much about PHP, and replacing the code with what you suggest, hasn´t done anything to the calendar. I know I probably have to change some values somewhere, but since (like I say) don´t know much about PHP, I don´t know which values these would be. Could you help? I just want the calendar to start from January 2011, instead of it now showing the calendar from August....

Like you said, I deleted the "Availability" bit in the language file, but what about the little box? How do I get rid of that? Also, I would like to not show the "Last updated" and the date under the Key box.

Hope you can help? Thanks. :)

I just want the calendar to start from January 2011

In the ac-includes > cal.inc.php file just change these lines:
Code: Select all
$this_year   = date('Y');
$this_month = date('m');

Change to the dates that you want to start from, eg:
Code: Select all
$this_year   = date('2011');
$this_month = date('01');

I deleted the "Availability" bit in the language file, but what about the little box? How do I get rid of that?

I don't know what you have done, removing the line that I said *will* remove the "available state from the key, both the box and the text.
Also, I would like to not show the "Last updated" and the date under the Key box.

In the calendar > index.php file (ie the file that actually shows the calender, just remove this line:
Code: Select all
'.$lang["last_update"].': '.get_cal_update_date(ID_ITEM).'

Duh! I only removed the word in the language file! Silly me. Done, thanks. The other things worked great too. Thanks so much for your help with this.
