try this, create a completley new file called (eg) temp.php
and put this code in it:
Code: Select all
<?php
//   connect to db
require_once("db_connect.inc.php");

// add column
$alter="ALTER TABLE `bookings_cal` ADD `state` CHAR( 3 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT 'all'";
if(!mysql_query($alter)) die("ERROR ADDING TABLE COLUMN");
else echo "<b>state</b> column added to calendar table - DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE THIS CODE NOW!";

?>

call this url up in your browser and it "should" work. Once you have done this you can delete the file.
