Sorry for the dumb question again.

I get the following message
"Unable to connect to database. Please check your data"
I also see a message above with a line through it and a green flag
"configuration file exist"

Am I suposed to create the data base on my server first, using cpanel or do you create it for me.

Is the database user name and password the one I create when setting up the database or are they the FTP login name and password for my site.

My files are in a subdirectory called "cal" so do I need to put the "cal" after my database host name.

Here is what I did

Hostname: myurl.com (no http://)
databse name: myurl_cal5
database username: myurl_username
database password: password

What did I do wrong?

Yes, create an empty database via your cpanel.

No, they can be whatever you like.

Have you created the database?
Are those details correct for the database that you created?
I doubt that the hostname is your domain name, it is normally just "localhost" though sometimes it is the I.P.

"Localhost" was the trick.

Im in and this is a very neat application.

Just a couple more questions.

Is this compatable with IE9 and other browsers

I also do not see a split colored icon for AM/PM bookings and provisional AM/PM. The Icon Is grey.

Yes, this works in IE9. I tested it all myself just last week. The only thing is that for some reason the loading image does not display when the months are being loaded via AJAX. I must admit to have not having had the opportunity to look into a solution yet. However I also don't think that this is am important aspect the calendar and certainly doesn't prevent it from working.

I also do not see a split colored icon for AM/PM bookings and provisional AM/PM. The Icon Is grey.

You need to check the path to the image in the calendar css file (both the public and admin css files).
You have set the calendar up in a directory named "cal" so you will need to adjust this accordingly.

I changed to:
<iframe src ="/cal/calender.php" width="600" height="300"></iframe>
But there is no file name "calendar.php" so this fails.
I even tried:
<iframe src ="/cal/index.php" width="600" height="300"></iframe>

I also have multiple calendars I called my first one external id "6", calendar name "S1"

ahh, sorry about that. I hadn't spotted that error and nobody had mentioned it before

That should be the correct one.

To show a specific calendar item you need to modify the calendar url like this:

Not yet, I get a internal server error.
Is there another place that I need to change the directory form calendar to cal.
What about permissions?
index.php is set to 777

Other than in the css file the only other place is in the calendar admin panel
Do you have an url that I can see?

I had the index.php set too high (777). I think it violated server security rules.
Now set to 644

But I do not see booked dates.

Okay,
Almost got it to work.
I built 6 calendars, id item 1-6.
On each of my 6 web pages pages I call up a differnt calendar but I don't get the calendar I called up and there is no dates booked, all blank.
I get the dates when I change to another calendar in the iframe window using the selection box at the top.

Here are 2 of the test sites (watch it try to load ID #1(C1)
