Sorry for this,

I'm doing my first site in Dreamweaver and I need to get an availability calendar on it. I don't have a server right now so I'm looking to set it all up using a test server but I'm having problems installing the files on my test server and, basically, getting it to work.

If any kind soul has a few minutes to jot down a basic idiots guide I'd be hugely grateful.

I'm going down the iframe route so my head doesn't explode..

Update..

I'm trying to muddle my way through with little knowledge..

I've uploaded all the files to my newly bought server
I've got to the ac install area where I'm asked for values for

database host
database name
database username
database password

Stuck.

Do I have to upload or create an SQL database on my server first, if so, how?

Now I have an SQL database set up and have put the values in for database name, user name and password from my control panel.

What value should I put in for database host?

AND

How do I do this -

'the ac-config.inc.file will need write permissions (chmod 777) - alternatively you can modify it manually on your server.' I can open this file in Dreamweaver but can't see where to change anything that resembles this. Apologies for being stupid/new..
