How to set "next-previous buttons" into the calendar

Postby denisvw » Sun Dec 05, 2010 11:05 am

Hello,

Thanks for this fantastic script!

I was wondering how we can set the next and previous buttons into a month (if we display only one month).

Here is the example : http://www.desoeteninval.nl/new/reserveren/

Hi,
I suspect that in that case they have positioned the buttons using the css to position them "over" the calendar....

Yes, I have just taken a look at their modified css file and they have done this:
Code: Select all
/*
calendar controls (back and next)
***************************/
#cal_controls{
   margin-top:4px;
   margin-left:4px;
   width:196px;
   height:25px;
   position:absolute;

   }
#cal_controls #cal_prev{
   float:left;
   }
#cal_controls #cal_next{
   float:right;
   margin-right:2px;
   }
#cal_controls #cal_admin{
   float:left;
   margin-left:10px;
   }

Cunningly simple :)

Hello,

I have noticed that there is no problem with firefox but i can't see it (hidden) or it stays above in IExplorer.

Hi,
I'm afraid that I don't have time to set this up at the moment to be able to test it.

You could try adding position:relative to the #the_months style element.
As you have set the #controls element position to absolute, you should set the parent position to relative.

Let me know if that makes a difference otherwise I will keep looking :)
