Help with installation and general calendar setttings

Page not found

Postby adslock » Tue Apr 19, 2011 12:04 pm

Hi, I have uploaded the calendar via cyberduck to my server in a folder named "Calendar" and created a MySQL database. My problem is when I apply the iframe with my URL it just shows "The page is not found". I can login and access the calendar via my browser (after contacting my web host to allow sessions) which clearly shows the path. Also I have changed css color attributes in both the ac-admin and ac-contents, which dose not apply to the admin calendar when updated.

What am i doing wrong? please help!

Hi,
when I apply the iframe with my URL it just shows "The page is not found".

It sounds like the url to the calendar is wrong. Have you checked that first?
Also I have changed css color attributes in both the ac-admin and ac-contents, which dose not apply to the admin calendar when updated.

The admin calendar has it's own css file so you will need to change that too.

Hi Chris, I have made sure the url is correct (or what I think is correct) and tried so many different ways. I'm using the same url that directs me to the calendar in my browser, so shouldn't be a problem.

The admin calendar file that I amended was "avail-calendar.css" in both ac-admin and ac-contents.

I just can't see what I am doing wrong on both accounts.

There is your error,
in the iframe you have "calendar" whereas the actual url is with a capital "c":
http://www.norfolkrentalcottages.co.uk/ ... /index.php

I'll see if I can work out the css problem....

css error is the same as the iframe error - you have the calendar in a directory with a capital c "Calendar" whereas in the css you use a small c "calendar"

Hi Chris, Thanks for looking and highlighting that mistake. I changed the directory folder to a small 'c' and still nothing. When I go to view calendar in my browser I get this.... (also two logos with ?)

You shouldn't have changed the directory name, rather you should have changed the url in the iframe and in the css files.

However, now that you have done that, you need to login to the admin panel, click on the "config" icon (the cog wheels) and modify the path to the calendar. Currently you ahve it set to /Calendar, it should now be /calendar.

Thank you for your time and patience, the calendar is working fine now.
I know that the difference between 'C' and 'c' caused all the problems, but the color attributes that I applied to the css are not showing on either calendar.

I will gladly donate for a very handy script, thanks again Chris.
